Having gotten to know Bellingham well over the last while and falling in love with this venue I was really excited when Kim asked me to take some pics for them of Helmut Meijer new venture the album launch of CALEV. The cellar setting was the perfect venue creating soft lighting and fantastic sound in an intimate environment surrounded by about 90 guests and friends. I must say this was an absolute treat of an evening, and so refreshing listening […]
Last week I covered the launch party for big wave surfer waterman Chris Bertish’s SUP crossing. He will be spending 4 months solo crossing 7500 km across the Atlantic solo on a paddle board modified into a boat type design where he can be self sufficient for the voyage. The craft will have everything from desalination plant, to the most modern sat nav and also boat traffic identification radar etc and communications. This is the first time anyone will have attempted […]
So you may ask yourselves what do we do this weekend, we’ve been all over nothing left to do. We’ve done all the normal stuff been to some wine pairings where there are 50 plus people, which was great, but picture Saturday or Sunday lunch in a venue that dates you back to 1693 with rolling lawns, a Dutch styled Manor house, and a cellar yes built in 1693 🙂 Take in all that Franschoek scenery whilst relaxing on the […]
For the first time the annual WYSE Travel Confederations conference and trade show was held in our very own Cape Town. Attended by around 350 delegates from all around the world and South Africa, all leaders in the youth travel industry worldwide, from hotels to surfing tours. One very interesting week with a great crowd of people. The week consisted of Opening keynote addresses with our minister of tourism, to seminars, workshops, meetups, cocktail evenings and the Friday night end […]
Once again another fun filled evening spent photographing the Smuts Hall annual formal dinner. This year again we did the red carpet shots at Smuts hall and then through to Suikerbossie which never dissapoints in venue service and food which is of the best. Here is a rather large selection from across the evening. 1 2 3 ► Cape Town photographers – Jacques Bartie

I must extend hearty congratulations to the Spintelligent team and all others involved with the organisation of this huge event. It really was a fantastic and well run event running for three days. 12000 square meters of expo floor space, key note addresses with world wide speakers, workshops, forums a gala dinner with 700 people with our honourable Mayor Patricia De lille the guest of honour and delivering a keynote address, and then awards for excellence in the industry. here […]
What a great weekend this was, once again being contracted to the www.marathon-photos.com team (official photographers for the Discovery triathlon series) to photograph the public races on the Saturday and Sunday. With extreme water temps the swim was cancelled on day one but Sunday saw the sun out and a beautiful day with Table Mountain majestic in the background. I started down at the swim which was delayed due to mist but racing continued until later when the water was […]

Prior to the speech she had viewed each of the displays presented […]
